Barrington Animal Dental Specialty is the dedicated dental department of Animal Care Center of Barrington and Buffalo Grove.As part of a larger network that includes general veterinary care, grooming, boarding and daycare-our focuse is exclusivley on veterianry dentistry and oral surgery. We are fast-paced, supportive, challenging and our goal is to hire professionals who genuinely care about all of our patients and work well with their team. Requirements
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizating equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Assist surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.
Maintain a sterile field during surgery to minimize the risk of infections-Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized.
Assist with patient positioning and transportation before, during and after surgery
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care requirments
Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Completion of an accredited Surigical Technologist program

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment

Excellent attention to detail an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly and efficiently

Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
